Digital library Kramerius is a project of the National Library of the Czech Republic. The digital library contains more than 8 millions of scanned pages. Some of the documents are in German, Russian, English and other languages.


We warn users of the Kramerius Digital Library that there may be problems with displaying DjVu images while using new versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. To learn how to install the necessary plug-ins for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome, see HERE (last updated 15.5.2018) guide.   • Image files are in DjVu format, so you need to have the DjVu plug-in installed to view our documents. Installation instructions can be found here (last updated 15.5.2018)
  • Please install the Lizardtech DjVu plug-in to view the images in this digital library.
  • In compliance with the Copyright Act ("Autoský zákon" č. 121/2000 Sb.) some of these documents can be displayed only in the premises of National Library of the Czech Republic in Prague. A copy of these documents can be obtained by means of formulaire for ordering paper copy. You can also obtain a copy of certain article or a part of monography (max. 20 pages) by Document Delivery Service. Info about this system is here.
